Oasis in New Mexico: A High Desert Retreat
August 21-27, 2011

Join Glenn Mitchell and Sanford Alwine as Oasis returns to Ghost Ranch, New Mexico, August 21-27, 2011. We will be based in the Casa de Sol Retreat House, set back from the Ghost Ranch village area at the base of Chimney Rock. This will be a retreat experience and staff will be present to guide and direct participants on their retreat and to provide the community setting for prayer and celebration that participants have come to trust from Oasis events.

Contemplative Canadian Canoe Trip
September 18-24, 2011

Join leader Vicki Kensinger, along with guides Dennis and Marti Shaak, for a week in the wilderness with God.  This is our third year offering this excursion.  Expect the presence of the Holy to surround and permeate your days within a pristine landscape that will still and quiet your soul.  Spend your days drawing close to the wisdom of the wilderness, prayerfully paddling through her waters, gazing quietly at her beauty, and being welcomed home. We discover the importance of community as we face the elements together.  We experience God in our activity, our daily paddling, our quiet times and our communal gatherings.  Space is limited to 7.

Celtic Pilgrimage: Oasis in Scotland
May 13-24, 2012

Join Kathleen Roney and Cindy Garis as Oasis returns to Scotland and the Isle of Iona.  We will be noticing the Holy in the present moment, as well as in the deep spiritual history of this place.  Our pilgrimage will include five (5) days of retreat on Iona, two (2) days in the community of Lindisfarne, along with journeys through Oben, the Island of Mull, Edinburgh, and the border country.  Along the way, we will experience the lush landscape, stone circles, and rich history and hospitality of Scotland.

2010 Oasis Calendar Available
Need a beautiful 2010 wall calendar? Celebrate the trip last fall to Algonquin Park, Canada, with the contemplative canoers.

Thanks to the collaborative work of Vicki Kensinger and Betsy Keller (and photos from Greg Gable, Jim Goudie, and Dennis Shaak), Oasis has put together a calendar of images from the 2009 Canadian canoe trip (72 large and small pictures) in an 8.5x11 calendar.

If you were able to be at our Homecoming gathering in November, you had a chance to see some of the photos in the presentation Vicki shared.
