We
know you like books! Join
Sara Jane Munshower on an interfaith reading
adventure. These discussion events are open to the Oasis
community and friends. We hope it will be an opportunity to
renew old acquaintances and friendships and create new ones.
What is “OASIS Reads?” It’s a
contemplative event; it’s a list of good books; it’s a gathering
of good folks; and, eventually, it might be wherever you are!
We’d love for the community to be reading together and to invite
family and friends for heartfelt, insightful, discussions. You
may even want to plan an event near you and let us know so we
can post it.
With an
eye to the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001, and the need
to be more aware and understanding of the traditions of all
faithful people, we’re beginning with the following three books:
*Breakfast with Buddha -
a lighthearted, eclectic spiritual journey
*The Faith Club - a more serious, but easy to read,
interfaith exploration and memoir
* A History of God - a scholarly approach to the Holy
(See details below)
